Ahead of upcoming urban local body elections, the Guntur Municipal Corporation has announced reservations for its 76 wards. These reservations are allocated across Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, and women under the general category. Specifically, 27 wards are reserved for BCs, nine for SCs, and two for STs. Additionally, 20 wards are set aside for general category women, with the remaining 18 being unreserved.
