BJP Kin Dominate Women's Quota Seats In Jhunjhunu ZP Elections

Several women from families of BJP functionaries have entered the Zila Parishad elections in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, following the reservation of the district chief's post for women. Among the candidates are daughters-in-law of former BJP MP Narendra Kumar, Harshini Kulhari and Anamika, with Harshini having prior experience as district chief. Other nominees include the daughter-in-law of former MP Santosh Ahlawat and the wife of a former BJP district general secretary. This trend has raised questions about whether women's reservation is primarily benefiting women from established political families.

राजस्थान के झुंझुनू में जिला प्रमुख की सीट महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षित होने के बाद बीजेपी पदाधिकारियों के परिवारों की कई महिलाएं जिला परिषद चुनाव जीत गई हैं। जीती हुई उम्मीदवारों में पूर्व बीजेपी सांसद नरेंद्र कुमार की बहुएं हर्षिनी कुलहरी और अनामिका शामिल हैं, जिनमें से हर्षिनी पहले भी जिला प्रमुख रह चुकी हैं। अन्य जीती हुई उम्मीदवारों में पूर्व सांसद संतोष अहलावत की बहू और एक पूर्व बीजेपी जिला महामंत्री की पत्नी भी शामिल हैं। इस स्थिति ने यह सवाल खड़ा कर दिया है कि क्या महिलाओं का आरक्षण मुख्य रूप से स्थापित राजनीतिक परिवारों की महिलाओं को ही लाभ पहुंचा रहा है।
