Pollution Body Removes Exemptions for Older Goods Vehicles

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has removed exemptions for older goods vehicles under the two strictest stages of Delhi-NCR's pollution control plan. BS-IV and below vehicles will now face curbs under Stages III and IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). This formalizes previous restrictions and aims to improve air quality by limiting older, more polluting vehicles. The revised GRAP schedule includes 48 actions across its four stages to combat rising pollution levels.

प्रदूषण नियंत्रण के लिए बनी संस्था Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) ने दिल्ली-एनसीआर के प्रदूषण नियंत्रण योजना के दो सबसे सख्त चरणों के तहत पुराने मालवाहक वाहनों को मिली छूट खत्म कर दी है। अब BS-IV और उससे नीचे के वाहन Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) के स्टेज III और IV के तहत प्रतिबंधों का सामना करेंगे। यह पहले से लागू प्रतिबंधों को औपचारिक रूप देता है और पुराने, ज्यादा प्रदूषण फैलाने वाले वाहनों को सीमित करके हवा की गुणवत्ता में सुधार का लक्ष्य रखता है। संशोधित GRAP शेड्यूल में बढ़ते प्रदूषण स्तर से निपटने के लिए इसके चार चरणों में 48 कदम शामिल हैं।
