CMRL Official Retracts Statement to ED

A former CMRL official, P. Suresh Kumar, has submitted a retraction statement to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi. Kumar alleged illegal and high-handed conduct by ED officers in Kochi, stating he felt intimidated and pressured during interrogation. His earlier statement had formed the basis for the ED recommending an FIR against former Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan and others in the Exalogic–CMRL pay-off case. पूर्व CMRL अधिकारी पी. सुरेश कुमार ने दिल्ली में प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) को एक खंडन पत्र सौंपा है। कुमार ने कोच्चि में ED अधिकारियों पर अवैध और मनमानी कार्रवाई का आरोप लगाया है। उन्होंने कहा कि पूछताछ के दौरान उन्हें धमकाया और दबाव डाला गया। उनकी पिछली गवाही के आधार पर ही ED ने Exalogic–CMRL भुगतान मामले में पूर्व केरल CM पिनाराई विजयन और अन्य के खिलाफ FIR की सिफारिश की थी। ED ने विजयन पर ₹3 करोड़ लेने का आरोप लगाया था।
