Students of Allahabad University intensified their protest on Tuesday against fee hikes, reduced academic seats, and inadequate facilities. They marched across campus and blocked the busy Motilal Nehru Road, causing significant traffic congestion. The agitation, which began on July 10, includes an indefinite hunger strike by eight students. Key demands include rolling back fee increases, restoring reduced seats, and improving campus facilities like the health centre and library access. Protesters allege annual fee hikes are making higher education inaccessible.
