NIA Court Adds Terror Funding Charge Against Alleged IS Recruit Areeb Majeed

A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Mumbai has framed an additional charge against alleged IS recruit Areeb Majeed for receiving funds to join the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. The court added this charge under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act after the prosecution filed a fifth supplementary chargesheet. Majeed, an engineering student, allegedly received US$1,000 from a Kuwaiti national to join IS, undergo training, and participate in terrorist activities.
