Congress Leader Questioned in Child Rape Case

MP Ranjan Kumar, president of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee’s Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe wing, was questioned by police for about five hours on Friday. The inquiry is related to a child rape case involving granite baron R Veeramani. Police handed Kumar a questionnaire and recorded his responses. He was asked to remain in the city and inform authorities if he planned to leave. Kumar had previously claimed to have submitted a complaint against Veeramani.

कांग्रेस नेता से दुष्कर्म मामले में पूछताछ

तमिलनाडु कांग्रेस कमेटी के एससी/एसटी विंग के अध्यक्ष रंजन कुमार से शुक्रवार को पुलिस ने करीब पांच घंटे पूछताछ की। यह मामला ग्रेनाइट कारोबारी आर. वीरमणि से जुड़े एक रेप केस से जुड़ा है। पुलिस ने कुमार को एक प्रश्नावली दी और उनके जवाब दर्ज किए। उन्हें शहर में ही रहने और कहीं जाने से पहले अधिकारियों को सूचित करने को कहा गया है। कुमार ने पहले वीरमणि के खिलाफ शिकायत दर्ज कराने का दावा किया था।
