दिल्ली सरकार ने यह अनिवार्य कर दिया है कि घरेलू सहायकों की सेवाएँ प्रदान करने वाली सभी निजी प्लेसमेंट एजेंसियों को सरकार के साथ पंजीकरण कराना होगा। एजेंसियों को ई-डिस्ट्रिक्ट पोर्टल पर पंजीकरण कराना होगा और 15 दिनों के भीतर लाइसेंस प्राप्त करना होगा, जिसमें श्रमिकों और नियोक्ताओं दोनों के लिए अनिवार्य पुलिस सत्यापन शामिल है। अनुपालन न करने पर ₹50,000 का जुर्माना, पंजीकरण रद्द करना और संभावित अभियोजन होगा। दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट के निर्देशानुसार, इस कदम का उद्देश्य एजेंसियों को विनियमित करना और घरेलू श्रमिकों के शोषण को रोकना है। नियोक्ताओं को सलाह दी जाती है कि वे केवल पंजीकृत एजेंसियों से ही काम पर रखें और श्रमिकों की साख की पुष्टि करें।
