The Delhi government has temporarily halted the implementation of its new challan system following widespread protests by lawyers. The transport department has been instructed to investigate the objections raised by the legal fraternity regarding changes to the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989. This decision comes after lawyers expressed strong opposition and went on strike. The matter will also be brought to the attention of the Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister.

दिल्ली सरकार ने वकीलों के भारी विरोध के बाद अपनी नई चालान प्रणाली को फिलहाल रोक दिया है। परिवहन विभाग को सेंट्रल मोटर व्हीकल रूल्स, 1989 में बदलावों को लेकर वकीलों द्वारा उठाई गई आपत्तियों की जांच करने का निर्देश दिया गया है। यह फैसला वकीलों द्वारा कड़ा विरोध जताने और हड़ताल पर जाने के बाद आया है। इस मामले को उपराज्यपाल और मुख्यमंत्री के ध्यान में भी लाया जाएगा।
