Delhi Police Impose Prohibitory Orders Ahead of Jantar Mantar Protest

Prohibitory orders under section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita are in effect across New Delhi district ahead of a planned protest at Jantar Mantar. The demonstration, organised by the All India Students’ Association, aims to demand the removal of the Chief Election Commissioner over alleged irregularities. Delhi Police have denied permission for the protest and issued a traffic advisory due to expected disruptions. Security has been heightened, with barricades and personnel deployed around the protest site and approach routes.

जंतर मंतर पर नियोजित विरोध प्रदर्शन से पहले नई दिल्ली जिले में भारतीय नागरिक सुरक्षा संहिता की धारा 163 के तहत निषेधाज्ञा लागू कर दी गई है। ऑल इंडिया स्टूडेंट्स’ एसोसिएशन द्वारा आयोजित यह प्रदर्शन कथित अनियमितताओं को लेकर मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त को हटाने की मांग को लेकर है। दिल्ली पुलिस ने विरोध प्रदर्शन की अनुमति देने से इनकार कर दिया है और अपेक्षित व्यवधानों के कारण यातायात सलाह जारी की है। विरोध स्थल और पहुंच मार्गों के आसपास अवरोधक और कर्मियों को तैनात कर सुरक्षा कड़ी कर दी गई है।
