Bharti Enterprises Founder and Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal has been awarded France's highest civilian honour, the Chevalier de l’Ordre national de la Légion d’Honneur. French President Emmanuel Macron presented the award in recognition of Mittal's significant contributions to deepening India-France economic ties. The award acknowledges his outstanding achievements in telecommunications and digital infrastructure. Mittal expressed gratitude, highlighting his long association with France since Airtel's inception in 1992 and his current role with Eutelsat.
