Filmmaker Honey Trehan has strongly criticised the CBFC new advisory for filmmakers, labelling it as 'cowardness and dictatorship'. The advisory, issued on October 26, states that announced titles and release dates will not be considered during the film certification process. Trehan, whose film 'Satluj' faced certification issues for nearly three years, expressed his dissent on social media. He believes this approach undermines the democratic principle of freedom of speech in the country.
