Adidas Sues Australian Label White Fox Over Four Stripes Design

BBC World · world

Adidas is suing Australian fashion label White Fox for allegedly infringing on its trademark with a four-striped design. The German sportswear giant claims the design is "deceptively similar" to its own iconic three-striped logo, which has been trademarked in Australia since 1957. Adidas stated that White Fox refused requests to stop selling and advertising the clothes since March. The company is seeking damages, arguing White Fox is exploiting Adidas's reputation. The first court hearing is scheduled for Friday.
