NH 183 Project Construction Begins After Financial Stalemate

The financial uncertainty surrounding the Kollam–Theni National Highway (NH 183) project has ended with the Kerala government refunding ₹73.18 crore as its GST share. This clears the path for developing a 54.37-km stretch into a four-lane highway. The project, approved in June with a total sanction of ₹1,663.15 crore, will now accelerate land acquisition and move into the construction phase.
