RTR Flyover Repairs Cause Major Traffic Jams, Congestion Spills Onto NH-48

Repair work on the old Rao Tula Ram (RTR) flyover in Delhi caused significant traffic congestion on Wednesday, affecting commuters travelling from Gurgaon towards Delhi and the airport. The carriageway from IGI Airport towards Vasant Vihar was temporarily closed due to detected cracks, leading to diversions onto the service road and Dhaula Kuan. This resulted in journey times of up to 70-80 minutes between Gurgaon and Dhaula Kuan. The situation was worsened by a road-cleaning vehicle operating during peak hours.

दिल्ली में पुराने राव तुला राम (RTR) फ्लाईओवर पर मरम्मत के काम के कारण बुधवार को भारी ट्रैफिक जाम लग गया, जिससे गुरुग्राम से दिल्ली और एयरपोर्ट की ओर जाने वाले यात्रियों को परेशानी हुई। आईजीआई एयरपोर्ट से वसंत विहार की ओर जाने वाले कैरिजवे में दरारें पाए जाने के कारण इसे अस्थायी रूप से बंद कर दिया गया था, जिससे ट्रैफिक को सर्विस रोड और धौला कुआं की ओर मोड़ दिया गया। इसके चलते गुरुग्राम और धौला कुआं के बीच यात्रा का समय 70-80 मिनट तक पहुँच गया। पीक आवर्स के दौरान एक रोड-क्लीनिंग वाहन के संचालन से स्थिति और खराब हो गई।
