Former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer has strongly backed the selection of 36-year-old pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the T20 series against New Zealand. Jaffer stated that Kumar's inclusion is not a favour but a deserved return based on his consistent performances and good fitness in domestic cricket and the IPL. He questioned why the experienced bowler was kept out for so long, emphasizing that age should not be the sole criterion for exclusion when a player is performing well.
