Congress general secretary K.C. Venugopal has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of undermining Indian democracy. Venugopal alleged that the ruling establishment is using individuals with a criminal mindset to weaken democratic institutions and vowed that the protest would continue until Kumar is removed from his post. He described Kumar as "the biggest criminal India has ever seen" and claimed Modi and Shah installed him to subvert the democratic system.

कांग्रेस महासचिव के.सी. वेणुगोपाल ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी, केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह और मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानश कुमार पर भारतीय लोकतंत्र को कमजोर करने का आरोप लगाया है। वेणुगोपाल ने आरोप लगाया कि सत्ताधारी प्रतिष्ठान आपराधिक मानसिकता वाले व्यक्तियों का इस्तेमाल लोकतांत्रिक संस्थाओं को कमजोर करने के लिए कर रहा है और उन्होंने संकल्प लिया कि जब तक कुमार को उनके पद से नहीं हटाया जाता, तब तक विरोध जारी रहेगा। उन्होंने कुमार को "भारत द्वारा देखा गया सबसे बड़ा अपराधी" बताया और दावा किया कि मोदी और शाह ने उन्हें लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था को पलटने के लिए स्थापित किया था।
