Passenger Bites Off Railway Official's Thumb

A passenger was arrested for assaulting a railway official on the Sabarmati Express in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred when the official, Manoj Kumar Chauhan, asked the passenger to move from the AC coach to the general coach as he only had a general ticket. The passenger, identified as Iqbal, allegedly became aggressive, verbally abused the official, and then bit off his left thumb, causing the bone to protrude. GRP has registered a case against Iqbal, who has a prior criminal record.
