Idukki Village Collects Funds To Save Post Office

Nearly 2,000 families in Pushpakandam village, Idukki, have launched a fund-collection drive to save their local post office. The Postal Department had decided to relocate the post office due to declining business and poor facilities. Residents have taken it upon themselves to renovate the building.

इडुक्की के पुष्पकंडम गाँव में करीब 2,000 परिवारों ने अपने स्थानीय पोस्ट ऑफिस को बचाने के लिए चंदा इकट्ठा करना शुरू कर दिया है। पोस्टल डिपार्टमेंट ने कम व्यापार और खराब सुविधाओं के चलते पोस्ट ऑफिस को कहीं और ले जाने का फैसला किया था। अब गाँव वाले खुद ही बिल्डिंग की मरम्मत का जिम्मा उठा रहे हैं।
