Hindustan Times · politics

Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff has won reelection in Georgia, defeating Republican Representative Mike Collins. This victory preserves a critical seat for Democrats in their effort to control the Senate. Ossoff significantly outraised Collins, who received substantial outside spending support. The race was highly competitive in a state that President Trump previously won. Democrats needed to gain seats to secure a Senate majority, with Georgia being a key battleground.
