Two Indians Indicted For Smuggling Fake Ozempic

Two Indian nationals, Swapnadip Roy and Vicky Ramancha, have been indicted by a US federal grand jury for allegedly importing and selling counterfeit Ozempic. Prosecutors claim they sourced fake drugs from China and distributed them in the US between July 2023 and April 2024. The counterfeit products used fake packaging to appear genuine. This operation continued even after US regulators seized supplies and issued warnings. If convicted, the men face up to 71 years in prison.
