Hughes India CEO: Non-Satellite Business Now Matches Satcom Operations

Hughes Communications India's CEO, Shivaji Chatterjee, announced that the company's non-satellite business has grown to match its traditional satellite operations. This diversification includes enterprise-managed services beyond VSAT technology. Hughes India is a joint venture between Hughes Network Systems and Bharti Airtel. Chatterjee also called for the removal of regulatory hurdles to enable the rollout of low-earth-orbit satellite services in India. Such services could unlock significant opportunities in rural connectivity, defence, and mobility sectors.

ह्यूज कम्युनिकेशंस इंडिया के सीईओ, शिवाजी चटर्जी ने घोषणा की है कि कंपनी का नॉन-सैटेलाइट बिज़नेस अब उसके पारंपरिक सैटेलाइट ऑपरेशंस के बराबर हो गया है। इस विविधीकरण में VSAT टेक्नोलॉजी से परे एंटरप्राइज-मैनेज्ड सर्विसेज शामिल हैं। ह्यूज इंडिया, ह्यूज नेटवर्क सिस्टम्स और भारती एयरटेल के बीच एक संयुक्त उद्यम है। चटर्जी ने भारत में लो-अर्थ-ऑर्बिट सैटेलाइट सर्विसेज की शुरुआत को सक्षम करने के लिए नियामक बाधाओं को दूर करने का भी आह्वान किया। ऐसी सर्विसेज ग्रामीण कनेक्टिविटी, रक्षा और मोबिलिटी सेक्टर में महत्वपूर्ण अवसर खोल सकती हैं।
