Popcorn production has replaced gunfire in Chhattisgarh's Bastar-Kondagaon region, transforming lives through organized agriculture. Gourmet Popcornica, founded in 2014, now works with 17,500 farmers across 40,000 acres, including 8,000 acres in Chhattisgarh. The company aims to provide farmers with predictable incomes by integrating seed, cultivation, processing, and supply. This initiative has led to significant revenue growth, projected at ₹500 crore for FY27, up from ₹9 crore in FY15.

छत्तीसगढ़ में खेती में बंदूक की जगह पॉपकॉर्न

छत्तीसगढ़ के बस्तर-कोंडागांव इलाके में अब गोलियों की आवाज़ की जगह पॉपकॉर्न की खेती हो रही है। 2014 में शुरू हुई Gourmet Popcornica कंपनी 17,500 किसानों के साथ मिलकर 40,000 एकड़ में खेती करवा रही है। कंपनी का लक्ष्य किसानों को बीज से लेकर सप्लाई तक सब कुछ देकर पक्की आमदनी दिलाना है। इससे किसानों की कमाई बढ़ी है, जो 2027 तक 500 करोड़ रुपये तक पहुँचने का अनुमान है।
