Prashant Kishor Targets Election Commission Over Allegations

Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, stated that the issues within the Election Commission of India began before Gyanesh Kumar's appointment as Chief Election Commissioner. He referenced Ashok Lavasa's departure in 2020 to join the Asian Development Bank as a potential quid pro quo. Kishor also claimed to be the first to point out the ECI's alleged partiality towards the BJP in 2021, citing the West Bengal polls. He further alleged compromised election conduct regarding campaign funding, bureaucracy, and electoral rolls.

प्रशांत किशोर ने कहा कि इलेक्शन कमीशन (ECI) में दिक्कतें ज्ञान प्रकाश के चीफ इलेक्शन कमिश्नर बनने से पहले से ही थीं। उन्होंने 2020 में अशोक लवासा के Asian Development Bank जाने का ज़िक्र किया। किशोर का दावा है कि उन्होंने 2021 में ही पश्चिम बंगाल चुनाव के दौरान ECI की बीजेपी के प्रति पक्षपात की ओर इशारा किया था। उन्होंने चुनाव फंडिंग, नौकरशाही और वोटर लिस्ट को लेकर भी गंभीर आरोप लगाए।
