He sustained the injury on September 16, shortly after returning from a rib fracture. While Judge has made progress in recovery, including hitting and throwing indoors, he has not yet resumed running bases or playing the outfield. Manager Aaron Boone stated Judge is not yet ready for full baseball activity, prioritizing his long-term health for the postseason.
