Mexico: 17 New Suspects in Missing Students Case

Twelve years after the disappearance of 43 students in Mexico, authorities have identified 17 new suspects linked to the case. The students were allegedly handed over to a cartel by police in 2014. New analysis of phone calls revealed communications between officials, police, and organized crime members. Investigators also found human remains and an illegally obtained weapon at a funeral home. A total of 168 people are now being prosecuted in connection with the disappearances, which have traumatized Mexico.
