Delhi Traffic Police Announce Curbs on Non-BS-VI Vehicles From November 1

Delhi traffic police have announced restrictions on non-BS-VI vehicles entering the national capital starting November 1, 2026, as per the revised Graded Response Action Plan. Vehicles below BS-VI emission standards, including interstate diesel buses and certain trucks, will be prohibited. Only BS-VI, CNG, and electric vehicles, along with those with valid Pollution Under Control Certificates, will be permitted. Trucks not destined for Delhi are advised to use peripheral expressways. This measure aims to curb vehicular pollution in the city.

दिल्ली ट्रैफिक पुलिस ने संशोधित ग्रेडेड रिस्पांस एक्शन प्लान के अनुसार, 1 नवंबर 2026 से राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में गैर-BS-VI वाहनों के प्रवेश पर प्रतिबंध की घोषणा की है। BS-VI उत्सर्जन मानकों से नीचे के वाहन, जिनमें अंतरराज्यीय डीजल बसें और कुछ ट्रक शामिल हैं, प्रतिबंधित रहेंगे। केवल BS-VI, CNG और इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन, साथ ही वैध पॉल्यूशन अंडर कंट्रोल सर्टिफिकेट वाले वाहन ही अनुमत होंगे। दिल्ली के लिए नहीं जाने वाले ट्रकों को परिधीय एक्सप्रेसवे का उपयोग करने की सलाह दी जाती है। इस उपाय का उद्देश्य शहर में वाहनों से होने वाले प्रदूषण को कम करना है।
