Sebi Chairman Outlines Plans for Accessible, Resilient Capital Markets

Sebi Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey stated the regulator is actively working to enhance the accessibility, efficiency, and resilience of India's capital markets. The core strategy focuses on facilitating capital formation, improving the ease of doing business, and strengthening investor protection. Market capitalization has seen significant growth, with companies raising over ₹10 lakh crore annually. Pandey highlighted increased investor participation from West Bengal, with numbers rising from 12 lakh in FY15 to over 90 lakh currently. Sebi has also simplified fundraising processes and reduced compliance burdens for businesses.

सेबी के चेयरमैन तुहिन कांता पांडे ने कहा कि नियामक भारत के पूंजी बाजारों की सुलभता, दक्षता और लचीलेपन को बढ़ाने के लिए सक्रिय रूप से काम कर रहा है। मुख्य रणनीति पूंजी निर्माण को सुविधाजनक बनाने, व्यापार करने में आसानी में सुधार करने और निवेशक सुरक्षा को मजबूत करने पर केंद्रित है। बाजार पूंजीकरण में काफी वृद्धि देखी गई है, जिसमें कंपनियां सालाना ₹10 लाख करोड़ से अधिक जुटा रही हैं। पांडे ने पश्चिम बंगाल से निवेशक भागीदारी में वृद्धि पर प्रकाश डाला, जिसमें FY15 में 12 लाख से वर्तमान में 90 लाख से अधिक की संख्या में वृद्धि हुई है।
