Visa Consultancy Firing: One Arrested, Linked to Godara Gang

Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the October 11 firing at a visa consultancy office in Model Town Extension. The accused, Deepak Kumar, confessed that he and his cousin carried out the attack on the directions of two foreign-based operatives linked to the Rohit Godara gang. The gang had demanded ₹1 crore in extortion from the consultancy owner, who refused to pay. The police have recovered the motorcycle used in the crime, but the weapon remains untraced. The arrested individual had no prior criminal record.

पुलिस ने मॉडल टाउन एक्सटेंशन में 11 अक्टूबर को वीज़ा कंसल्टेंसी ऑफिस में हुई फायरिंग के मामले में 22 साल के एक युवक को गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी दीपक कुमार ने कबूल किया कि उसने और उसके चचेरे भाई ने रोहित गोदारा गैंग से जुड़े दो विदेश-आधारित संचालकों के निर्देश पर यह हमला किया था। गैंग ने कंसल्टेंसी के मालिक से ₹1 करोड़ की उगाही मांगी थी, जिसे मालिक ने देने से इनकार कर दिया था। पुलिस ने अपराध में इस्तेमाल की गई मोटरसाइकिल बरामद कर ली है, लेकिन हथियार अभी भी नहीं मिला है। गिरफ्तार युवक का कोई आपराधिक रिकॉर्ड नहीं था।
