UN Warns Ebola May Not Have Peaked

Despite early signs of slowing, UN officials caution that the Ebola outbreak in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo may not have passed its peak. While daily infections have fallen from around 120 to 80, transmission continues to rise in some areas. Over 7,200 confirmed cases and more than 3,475 deaths have been recorded. Health officials are using anonymised mobile-phone data to track population movements and identify potential spread.
