Los Angeles' historic Perry Mansion, built in 1876, recently celebrated its 150th anniversary. For the occasion, its restricted second floor was opened to the public for a fundraising event. The grand Victorian residence, originally costing $9,000, was moved in 1975 to Heritage Square Museum to save it from demolition. A 20-year restoration followed, returning it to its original wooden appearance. The event aimed to raise funds for ongoing structural conservation of the significant landmark.
