Saudi Intercepts Houthi Drone Near Mecca

Saudi Arabia's Royal Saudi Air Defence Forces intercepted and destroyed a drone launched by the Houthis towards Mecca on Tuesday evening. Coalition spokesperson Turki al-Maliki condemned the act as an attempt to frighten worshippers and harm civilians, stating the security of holy sites is a "red line." This marks the first security alert in Mecca in nearly a decade. A Houthi military source denied targeting Mecca or other Islamic holy sites, calling the claim misinformation.
