Kerala CM, Opposition Leader Slam Airlines for Fleecing NRKs

Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan and Leader of the Opposition Pinarayi Vijayan have strongly condemned airlines for drastically increasing airfares, particularly on the Kerala-West Asia route during festival seasons. Both leaders highlighted that successive state governments have repeatedly urged the Union government to cap airfares, but airlines continue to exploit non-resident Keralites (NRKs). Satheesan mentioned writing to the Centre again and raising the issue with the Prime Minister and Civil Aviation Minister. Vijayan concurred, stating ticket rates can increase five-fold, impacting NRKs who play a crucial role.
