Starting, all mutual fund apps and websites will default to the 'Direct Plan' option, as announced by SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kant Pandey. This change aims to provide investors with better information on fund expenses and investment decisions. If an investor chooses a regular plan, the platform will alert them about higher expense ratios compared to direct plans. Choosing the right plan can significantly impact long-term returns, potentially adding lakhs of rupees to an investment over time.

SEBI चेयरमैन तुहिन कांत पांडे ने घोषणा की है कि सभी म्यूचुअल फंड ऐप और वेबसाइटें 'डायरेक्ट प्लान' विकल्प को डिफ़ॉल्ट के रूप में दिखाएंगी। इस बदलाव का मकसद निवेशकों को फंड के खर्चों और निवेश निर्णयों के बारे में बेहतर जानकारी देना है। अगर कोई निवेशक रेगुलर प्लान चुनता है, तो प्लेटफॉर्म उसे डायरेक्ट प्लान की तुलना में ज़्यादा एक्सपेंस रेशियो के बारे में बताएगा। सही प्लान चुनने से लंबे समय में रिटर्न पर काफ़ी असर पड़ सकता है, जिससे निवेश में लाखों रुपये बढ़ सकते हैं।
