Dehradun Roads Remain Damaged Despite Multiple Repair Extensions

Several roads in Dehradun remain unrepaired despite the Public Works Department (PWD) receiving multiple extensions to the repair deadline. The initial deadline was, extended twice to, but residents continue to complain about potholes and uneven surfaces on key routes like Subhash Road and Canal Road. The PWD stated that remaining work will be completed in the next three to four days, attributing delays to ongoing civic agency work on certain stretches. Residents have also raised concerns about the quality of patchwork repairs and unfinished road edges.

देहरादून की कई सड़कें अभी तक ठीक नहीं हुई हैं, जबकि लोक निर्माण विभाग (PWD) को मरम्मत की समय सीमा कई बार बढ़ाई जा चुकी है। शुरुआती समय सीमा को दो बार बढ़ाया गया था, लेकिन निवासियों ने सुभाष रोड और कैनाल रोड जैसे मुख्य रास्तों पर गड्ढों और ऊबड़-खाबड़ सतहों के बारे में शिकायतें जारी रखी हैं। PWD ने कहा कि बाकी काम अगले तीन से चार दिनों में पूरा कर लिया जाएगा, और देरी का कारण कुछ हिस्सों में चल रहे नागरिक एजेंसी के काम को बताया। निवासियों ने पैचवर्क मरम्मत की गुणवत्ता और अधूरी सड़क के किनारों के बारे में भी चिंता जताई है।
