Real Estate Sector Needs Formal Recognition as Key Economic Contributor: CREDAI President-Elect

CREDAI president-elect G Ram Reddy has called for the government to formally recognise the real estate sector as a major economic contributor and employment generator. Speaking at CREDAI-NATCON 2026 in Kolkata, Reddy highlighted the sector's significant linkages to allied industries and its role in GDP. He also addressed concerns about delayed home deliveries, attributing them to factors like slow approvals and utility connections. Reddy further stressed the need for greater government focus on skill development and certification for construction workers to improve their recognition and wages.

क्रेडाई के अध्यक्ष-निर्वाचित जी राम रेड्डी ने सरकार से रियल एस्टेट सेक्टर को एक प्रमुख आर्थिक योगदानकर्ता और रोज़गार प्रदाता के रूप में औपचारिक मान्यता देने का आह्वान किया है। कोलकाता में क्रेडाई-NATCON 2026 में बोलते हुए, रेड्डी ने संबद्ध उद्योगों से सेक्टर के महत्वपूर्ण संबंधों और GDP में इसकी भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने घर की डिलीवरी में देरी की चिंताओं को भी संबोधित किया, जिसका कारण धीमी मंज़ूरी और उपयोगिता कनेक्शन जैसे कारक बताए। रेड्डी ने निर्माण श्रमिकों की पहचान और मज़दूरी में सुधार के लिए उनके कौशल विकास और प्रमाणन पर सरकार से अधिक ध्यान देने की ज़रूरत पर भी ज़ोर दिया।
