SC Plea Against CEC Gyanesh Kumar Over Decisions

A Supreme Court plea has been filed against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar concerning alleged unilateral decisions during the electoral roll revision exercise. The petitioner seeks a Special Investigation Team inquiry into the reported deletion of approximately 13 crore voters. The plea also demands that decisions made without the concurrence of other Election Commissioners be declared illegal and calls for the restoration of original voter registration forms. It further requests prosecution of CEC Kumar and other officials for alleged violations of the Representation of the People Act.

चुनाव आयोग के मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त (CEC) ज्ञानेश कुमार के खिलाफ सुप्रीम कोर्ट में एक याचिका दायर की गई है। आरोप है कि मतदाता सूची संशोधन के दौरान उन्होंने एकतरफा फैसले लिए। याचिकाकर्ता ने करीब 13 करोड़ मतदाताओं के नाम हटाए जाने की जांच के लिए एक विशेष जांच दल (SIT) गठित करने की मांग की है। साथ ही, अन्य चुनाव आयुक्तों की सहमति के बिना लिए गए फैसलों को अवैध घोषित करने और मूल मतदाता पंजीकरण फॉर्म बहाल करने की भी मांग की गई है।
