हिमाचल प्रदेश के पूर्व मंत्री और पांच बार के विधायक मेजर विजय सिंह मनकोटिया का मंगलवार सुबह कांगड़ा जिले में उनके पैतृक घर पर दिल का दौरा पड़ने से निधन हो गया। वह 87 वर्ष के थे। सेना के सेवानिवृत्त अधिकारी मनकोटिया का हिमाचल प्रदेश में दो दशक से अधिक का लंबा राजनीतिक करियर रहा। उन्होंने दो बार मंत्री के रूप में कार्य किया, पर्यटन और कानून जैसे विभागों को संभाला। राज्य के प्रमुख राजनीतिक नेताओं ने उनके निधन पर शोक व्यक्त किया है।
