Nashik District to Use Satellite Images for Forest Rights Claims Verification

The Nashik district administration is set to procure satellite imagery from 2005 to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of verifying claims under the Forest Rights Act. A budget of Rs 16 lakh has been sanctioned for this project, sourced from the district annual plan. These images from the Maharashtra Remote Sensing Application Centre will help officials assess land status and geographical conditions as they were in 2005.

नाशिक ज़िला प्रशासन जंगल हक़ कानून के तहत दावों के सत्यापन की सटीकता और कुशलता बढ़ाने के लिए 2005 की सैटेलाइट इमेजरी खरीदेगा। इस प्रोजेक्ट के लिए 16 लाख रुपये का बजट मंज़ूर किया गया है, जो ज़िला वार्षिक योजना से लिया जाएगा। महाराष्ट्र रिमोट सेंसिंग एप्लीकेशन सेंटर की ये इमेजरी अधिकारियों को 2005 में ज़मीन की स्थिति और भौगोलिक परिस्थितियों का आकलन करने में मदद करेंगी।
