Chepauk Stadium Renames Stands After Cricketing Legends

TNCA will rename three stands at Chennai's Chepauk Stadium after former Indian cricketers R Ashwin, K Srikkanth, and S Venkataraghavan. The unveiling is planned before the BBL opener on December 12, with the cricketers expected to be present. This honour recognises the significant contributions of the trio across different eras of Indian cricket. Venkataraghavan was a World Cup captain and international umpire, Srikkanth was part of the 1983 World Cup-winning squad, and Ashwin is India's second-highest Test wicket-taker.

चेन्नई के चेपॉक स्टेडियम में तीन स्टैंड का नाम पूर्व भारतीय क्रिकेटरों आर अश्विन, के श्रीकांत और एस वेंकटराघवन के नाम पर रखेगा। इसका अनावरण 12 दिसंबर को BBL के शुरुआती मैच से पहले करने की योजना है, और क्रिकेटरों के मौजूद रहने की उम्मीद है। यह सम्मान भारतीय क्रिकेट के विभिन्न युगों में तिकड़ी के महत्वपूर्ण योगदान को स्वीकार करता है। वेंकटराघवन विश्व कप कप्तान और अंतरराष्ट्रीय अंपायर थे, श्रीकांत 1983 विश्व कप विजेता टीम का हिस्सा थे, और अश्विन भारत के दूसरे सबसे ज्यादा टेस्ट विकेट लेने वाले खिलाड़ी हैं।
