Bihar CEO Reports Sharp Revisions in Council Poll Voter Turnout

Bihar's Chief Electoral Officer office has reported significant revisions to final voter turnout figures for legislative council polls held on Friday. The Patna Graduates' constituency saw an unprecedented 21.37-percentage-point increase from its provisional 36.19% to a final 57.56%. The Patna Teachers' constituency also experienced a substantial revision, rising by 17.56 percentage points. Several other constituencies, including Darbhanga Graduates' and Tirhut Graduates', also showed notable increases in their final turnout data. These revisions have raised questions from political figures regarding the discrepancy between provisional and final numbers.
