Bihar Minister Urges Centre to Host Pali, Prakrit Language Centres

Bihar minister Santosh Kumar Suman has urged the Union government to reconsider establishing Centres of Excellence for Pali and Prakrit languages in Odisha and Gujarat. He highlighted Magadh's deep historical and cultural connection to these classical languages, which played a major role in spreading ancient Indian knowledge traditions globally. Suman pointed to historically significant sites like Nalanda and Gaya, suggesting institutions such as South Bihar Central University could host these centres.

बिहार के मंत्री संतोष कुमार सुमन ने केंद्र सरकार से ओडिशा और गुजरात में पाली और प्राकृत भाषाओं के लिए उत्कृष्टता केंद्र स्थापित करने पर पुनर्विचार करने का आग्रह किया है। उन्होंने इन शास्त्रीय भाषाओं के साथ मगध के गहरे ऐतिहासिक और सांस्कृतिक संबंध पर प्रकाश डाला, जिन्होंने विश्व स्तर पर प्राचीन भारतीय ज्ञान परंपराओं को फैलाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। सुमन ने नालंदा और गया जैसे ऐतिहासिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण स्थलों की ओर इशारा किया, और सुझाव दिया कि दक्षिण बिहार केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय जैसे संस्थान इन केंद्रों की मेजबानी कर सकते हैं।
