MongoDB CEO Chirantan Desai Joins Meta

Chirantan "CJ" Desai has stepped down as president and CEO of MongoDB to become chief enterprise platform officer at Meta Platforms. Desai had served as MongoDB's CEO for less than a year, taking the role in November. MongoDB's board has appointed Dev Ittycheria as interim president and CEO while searching for a permanent replacement. Mark Zuckerberg noted Desai's experience in AI, infrastructure, business applications, and security. MongoDB shares fell 14% in premarket trading following the announcement.
