BCCI Dismisses Retirement Speculation Over Rohit Sharma

BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla has firmly dismissed all speculation regarding Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma's retirement. He clarified that there is no immediate plan for the opener to step down from the sport. Sharma himself has indicated his intention to continue playing for the national team and aims for the 2027 ODI World Cup. Shukla also defended the current leadership against demands for changes.

बीसीसीआई के उपाध्यक्ष राजीव शुक्ला ने रोहित शर्मा के संन्यास की अटकलों को सिरे से खारिज कर दिया है। उन्होंने साफ किया कि ओपनर के खेल छोड़ने की कोई तत्काल योजना नहीं है। शर्मा ने खुद भी राष्ट्रीय टीम के लिए खेलना जारी रखने की इच्छा जताई है और उनका लक्ष्य 2027 का वनडे वर्ल्ड कप है। शुक्ला ने बदलाव की मांगों के बीच मौजूदा नेतृत्व का भी बचाव किया।
