Dharwad-based virologist Dr Shivaji K Jadhav has been selected for the Gates Foundation Global Virologist Health Award. He is one of 18 recipients worldwide and the only one from India and Asia. The fully funded award will allow him to attend the 2027 Keystone Virology Symposium in Geneva, Switzerland. The award recognizes his contributions to molecular diagnostics, infectious diseases, global health, and healthcare innovation, offering him a platform to interact with international scientists.
