Bulgaria has condemned two separate drone attacks on merchant ships off its coast in the past week, with Prime Minister Rumen Radev stating that logic suggests the attacks benefit Russia. One Ukrainian-owned cargo vessel was hit by three aerial drones. No one was killed in the incidents. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also condemned the attacks, calling them an escalation of the war in Ukraine. Bulgaria has requested assistance from the EU and NATO to identify the attackers.
