Kerala Assembly Ruckus Case Trial Begins

The trial for the 2015 Kerala assembly ruckus case is set to commence at the Thiruvananthapuram chief judicial magistrate court. The incident involved damage to assembly property, estimated at Rs 2.20 lakh, during a protest by opposition MLAs against then finance minister K M Mani. Several CPM functionaries are among the accused. The government's attempts to withdraw the case were rejected by the trial court, high court, and finally the Supreme Court, meaning the accused must now face trial.

के केरल विधानसभा हंगामे मामले की सुनवाई थिरुवनंतपुरम मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट अदालत में शुरू होने वाली है। इस घटना में विपक्ष के विधायकों द्वारा तत्कालीन वित्त मंत्री के एम मणि के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान विधानसभा की संपत्ति को 2.20 लाख रुपये का नुकसान पहुंचाया गया था। कई CPM पदाधिकारियों पर भी आरोप हैं। मामले को वापस लेने के सरकार के प्रयासों को ट्रायल कोर्ट, हाई कोर्ट और अंततः सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने खारिज कर दिया था, जिसका मतलब है कि अब आरोपियों को मुकदमे का सामना करना पड़ेगा।
