Tata Motors Sells Over 2 Lakh Cars in Q2 FY27, Electric & CNG Models Drive

Tata Motors experienced a strong second quarter for fiscal year 2027, selling over 201,723 cars combined in domestic and global markets between July and September. This represents a 40% increase compared to the same period last year. Electric vehicles (EVs) and CNG models are now major growth drivers, constituting 51% of the company's sales, with EVs alone accounting for 23% of the total. The company sold 47,150 electric cars in the quarter, marking a 90% year-on-year growth. Tata's monthly sales also surpassed 70,000 units for the first time in September.
