Irwins Planted 44,000 Trees for Koala Habitat

Australia Zoo purchased 3,500 acres in Blackbutt, Queensland, in 1994 to restore koala habitat. Steve and Terri Irwin immediately planted 44,000 eucalyptus trees to begin the restoration process. The property has since expanded by 1,630 acres solely for wildlife conservation. Efforts also include removing invasive plants that hinder native wildlife. The zoo continues working towards Steve Irwin's dream of restoring koala numbers.

ऑस्ट्रेलिया चिड़ियाघर ने 1994 में ब्लैकबट, क्वींसलैंड में 3,500 एकड़ ज़मीन कोआला के रहने की जगह को ठीक करने के लिए खरीदी थी। स्टीव और टेरी इर्विन ने तुरंत 44,000 नीलगिरी के पेड़ लगाकर बहाली का काम शुरू किया। तब से सिर्फ वन्यजीव संरक्षण के लिए यह संपत्ति 1,630 एकड़ और बढ़ा दी गई है। इसमें ऐसे बाहरी पौधों को हटाने के प्रयास भी शामिल हैं जो स्थानीय वन्यजीवों को नुकसान पहुंचाते हैं। चिड़ियाघर स्टीव इर्विन के कोआला की संख्या को बहाल करने के सपने को पूरा करने के लिए काम कर रहा है।
