The Delhi High Court has refused an urgent hearing to a female journalist seeking protection from coercive action. She faces a case filed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Vivek Bhagat, who alleges casteist remarks and public humiliation during a protest. The journalist had previously filed a sexual assault complaint against Bhagat, which is under investigation. The court agreed to list the matter for hearing on Friday. Bhagat's FIR was registered under the SC/ST Act and other sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट ने एक महिला पत्रकार को जबरन कार्रवाई से सुरक्षा मांगने वाली तत्काल सुनवाई से इनकार कर दिया है। उनके खिलाफ असिस्टेंट कमिश्नर ऑफ पुलिस विवेक भगत ने मामला दर्ज कराया है, जिन्होंने एक विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान जातिवादी टिप्पणी और सार्वजनिक अपमान का आरोप लगाया है। पत्रकार ने पहले भगत के खिलाफ यौन उत्पीड़न की शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी, जिसकी जांच चल रही है। अदालत ने शुक्रवार को मामले की सुनवाई के लिए सूचीबद्ध करने पर सहमति व्यक्त की। भगत की FIR SC/ST एक्ट और भारतीय न्याय संहिता की अन्य धाराओं के तहत दर्ज की गई थी।
